MTV really captured lightning in a bottle when they created Jersey Shore. This really should not surprise anyone since they are responsible for the whole reality TV explosion (The Real World). Once seen as a nice departure from good old fashion TV sitcoms, reality television ushered in a new kind of superstar.

Jersey Shore is certainly no exception. These tough, muscular guidos love themselves as much as they love just about anything else in the world and are not embarrassed to say so. Want to know how good they look? Just ask them and they will tell you. These guys simply act like most guys would if they could pull it off. And why not? The women simply love them!

Jersey Shore follows eight housemates as they pass their summers on the shores of New Jersey. Calling themselves guidos and guidettes, the cast sparked a firestorm of controversy for their rather loose portrayals of Italian-Americans. Perhaps the most popular ‘characters’ are Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi (America’s favorite guidette).
